เมื่อวันที่ 12 September ที่ผ่านมา Apple ได้ปล่อย Firmware 2.1 ตัวใหม่สำหรับ iPhone ให้เราได้ update กันทั้ง iPhone Classic (2G) และ iPhone 3G และวันต่อมา iPhone Dev Team ได้ออกตัวแก้มาทันควันเพื่อให้เราได้ Unlock กัน แต่ช่วงแรก Software Jailbreak/Unlock iPhone สำหรับ firmware 2.1 ที่ Dev Team ออกมานั้นเป็นของ Mac OS เหล่า Windows user ก็ต้องรอกันต่อไป จนกระทั่งเมื่อวันที่ 19 September ที่ผ่านมา Dev Team เพิ่งปล่อย Software Jailbreak/Unlock iPhone 2.1 สำหรับ Windows ให้เหล่า Windows user ให้ใช้กันบ้าง ซึ่งมีชื่อว่า “QuickPwn 2.1”
ก่อนหน้านี้มีคนปล่อย Custom Firmware 2.1 ที่ทำจาก Mac OS ให้เหล่า Windows user ได้เอามาใช้ Restore เหมือนกัน ซึ่งเป็นวิธีที่ง่ายกว่ามาก แต่หลังๆ จะมีคนปล่อยเยอะขึ้น ทำให้ Custom Firmware มีหลายแบบมาก จนเราไม่กล้าที่จะเอามาใช้ จึงรอ QuickPwn 2.1 ออกมาดีกว่า ตอนนี้เรามาดูกันว่า QuickPwn 2.1 ใช้งานอย่างไร

The following is instructions how to jailbreak/unlock your iPhone 2G to the iPhone firmware version 2.1 using QuickPwn for Windows.
Please make sure that you have already upgraded your iTunes to 8.0
Prerequisites:
- iTune 8 (8.0.0.35): download
- QuickPwn 2.1: download
- BL 3.9: download
- BL 4.6: download
- Original Firmware 2.1 (2G): download
Step 1:
Download Software ข้างต้น มาเก็บไว้ที่ใดที่หนึ่ง ในที่นี่เราจะ create folder ชื่อ Pwnage จากนั้น Extract QuickPwn21-1.zip ให้อยู่ใน folder Pwnage ซึ่งเราจะได้ QuickPwn.exe
Create new folder called “Pwnage” on your desktop and download all above softwares then place them into the Pwnage folder that you just created.
Extract the QuickPwn31-1.zip to the Pwnage folder.
Step 2:
Install iTune 8 จากนั้นนำ iPhone ของเราต่อเข้ากับเครื่อง Computer และเปิด iTune 8 ขึ้นมา
เลือก iPhone menu ของเราที่อยู่ใน list ทางซ้ายมือของ iTunes จากนั้น กด Shift + ปุ่ม Restore เพื่อที่จะเลือก Firmware ที่เราต้องการ Restore ซึ่งอยู่ใน folder Pwnage ที่เราสร้างไว้
Note! เราสามารถกด Shift + ปุ่ม Update ก็ได้ แต่แนะนำให้ใช้ Shift + ปุ่ม Restore ดีกว่า เพื่อไม่ให้มีไฟล์ขยะอยู่ใน iPhone ของเรา
Install or upgrade your iTunes to 8.0 and then connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes
Select your iPhone from the list of devices on the left hand side of the iTunes. Now hold down shift and click the Restore button.
Restore is preferred as it won’t create any wasted space on your iPhone.
เลือก Original Firmware ที่เราต้องการจะ Restore จากนั้นกดปุ่ม Open เพื่อให้ iTune ทำการ Restore Firmware
Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the original 2.1 firmware ipsw. Click the Open button to continue.
Step 3:
เมื่อ iTunes ทำการ Restore Firmware เสร็จสิ้น ให้เรา run QuickPwn.exe ที่เราโหลดเก็บไว้ใน Pwnage folder ในตอนแรก
When iTunes has finished updating your iPhone to the 2.1 firmware you may launch QuickPwn.exe from the Pwnage folder on your desktop in the first step.
Step 4:
Check ให้แน่ใจว่า iPhone ของเราต่อเข้ากับเครื่อง Computer ของเราอยู่ และจากนั้นให้ Click ปุ่มสีฟ้า เพื่อดำเนินการในขั้นตอนต่อไป
Make sure that your iPhone is connected to the computer and click the blue arrow to continue.
Step 5:
Click ปุ่ม Browse เพื่อที่จะเลือก Original Firmware 2.1 ที่เราได้โหลดไว้ในตอนแรก
Click the Browse button to locate your iPhone firmware.
Step 6:
เลือก Original Firmware 2.1 ใน folder Pwnage จากนั้น Click ปุ่ม Open
Select the original 2.1 firmware ipsw from the Pwnage folder on your desktop then click the Open button.
Step 7:
QuickPwn จะ check ว่า Firmware ที่เราเลือกนั้นถูกต้องหรือไม่ ใช้งานได้หรือไม่ ถ้าผ่านให้ Click ปุ่มสีฟ้า เพื่อดำเนินการในขั้นตอนต่อไป
QuickPwn will check to make sure the ipsw is valid. Click the blue arrow button to continue.
Step 8:
ในขั้นตอนนี้ QuickPwn จะให้เราเลือกว่าเราจะให้ QuickPwn ทำอะไรบ้าง ให้เราเลือก Option ต่อไปนี้
- Add Cydia
- Add Installer
- Unlock Phone
ส่วน Replace Boot Logos เราจะเลือกหรือไม่เลือกก็ได้ แต่้ถ้าเลือกผลที่ได้คือ logo รูป Apple ตอนที่เราเปิด iPhone ในตอนแรก จะถูกแทนที่ด้วยรูปสับปะรดแหว่ง ในที่นี่เราจะไม่ิเลือก Option นี้ จากนั้นให้ Click ปุ่มสีฟ้า เพื่อดำเนินการในขั้นตอนต่อไป
You can now select whether to Add Cydia, Add Installer, Replace Boot Logos, and Unlock Phone.
The result of “Replace Boot Logos” options is the boot logo of your iPhone (it is an apple picture) will be replace with a pineapple picture. If you would not like to replace this logo, please DO NOT select this option.
Select the ones you would like to perform then click the clue arrow button
Step 9:
QuickPwn จะให้เราเลือก Bootloader โดยเราจะ้ต้องเืลือกทั้ง Bootloader v3.9 และ Bootloader v4.6 จากนั้นให้ Click ปุ่มสีฟ้า เพื่อดำเนินการในขั้นตอนต่อไป
You will now be asked to select your bootloader files. Click the Browse button and select the 3.9 bootloader from the Pwnage folder on your desktop. Likewise do the same thing for the 4.6 bootloader file. Then click the blue arrow button to continue.
Step 10:
Check อีกทีว่า เราได้ต่อ iPhone เข้ากับเครื่อง Computer ผ่านทาง USB เรียบร้อยแล้ว จากนั้นให้ Click ปุ่มสีฟ้า เพื่อดำเนินการในขั้นตอนต่อไป
QuickPwn will now ask you to confirm your iPhone is connected via USB before continuing. Click the blue arrow button to proceed.
Step 11:
QuickPwn จะเริ่มทำงานโดยให้ iPhone ของเราอยู่ใน Recovery mode โดยอัตโนมัติ เมื่อ iPhone ของเราอยู่ใน Recovery mode เีรียบร้อยแล้ว ให้เราทำตาม Step ต่อไปนี้
- กดปุ่ม Home ค้างไว้ 5 วินาที
- กดทั้งปุ่ม Home และ Power ค้างไว้ 10 วินาที
- ปล่อยปุ่ม Power แต่ยังคงกดปุ่ม Home ค้างไว้จนกระทั่ง iPhone ของเราอยู่ใน DFU mode
Step ข้างต้นเราไม่จำเป็นต้องนับวินาทีเหมือนเมื่อก่อน เพราะ QuickPwn จะนับถอยหลังให้เราเอง เรามีหน้าที่เพียงแค่ทำตามเท่านั้น
QuickPwn will now automatically put your iPhone into recovery mode. Once its in recovery mode you will be prompted to:
- Hold the Home button for 5 seconds
- Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds
- Release the Power button and continuing holding the Home button until your iPhone is in DFU mode.
Watch the prompts carefully and follow along.
Step 12:
เมื่อ QuickPwn พบว่า iPhone ของเราอยู่ใน DFU mode แล้ว QuickPwn จะเริ่มทำการ Jailbreak ต่อไป
Once QuickPwn detects your iPhone in DFU mode it will begin the jailbreak process.
Step 13:
เมื่อ QuickPwn ทำการ Jailbreak เสร็จสิ้น QuickPwn จะแจ้งให้เราทราบ จากนั้น iPhone ของเราจะเริ่ม run BootNeuter อัตโนมัติต่อไป ในขั้นตอนนี้จะใช้เวลาประมาณ 5 นาที เมื่อกระบวนการนี้เสร็จสิ้น iPhone ของเ้ราจะ reboot เองโดยอัตโนมัติ สุดท้ายเราก็จะได้ iPhone ที่ Jailbreak/Unlock เรียบร้อยพร้อมใช้งานแล้ว
Once jailbreaking is complete QuickPwn will inform you that it was successful. Your iPhone will then proceed to run BootNeuter. This process will take about 5 minutes. Please be patient. Your iPhone will reboot when it has completed the process successfully!
จะเห็นว่าไม่มีขั้นตอนไหนที่ให้เราปรับขนาดของ System Partition ด้วยตัวเอง แสดงว่า iPhone ที่เราได้จะมีขนาดของ System Partition ที่เป็นค่า Default คือ 500 MB ซึ่งก็เพียงพอต่อการใช้งานอยู่แล้ว เนื่องจาก Application/Game ที่เรา install เพิ่มเติมผ่าน iTune จะไปลงที่ Media Parition ซึ่งเป็นคนละส่วนกับ System Partition นั่นเอง
You will see that we cannot adjust size of the System Partition by yoursalves. So, after restoring to 2.1 iPhone firmware successfully, your iPhone will has 500 MB for System Partition set by default.

ผมมีปัญหาอยากถามนิดนึงคับ คือผมได้iphone แกะกล่องมาเลย เลยup 2.1 ด้วย pwn แต่ว่า ปัญหาคือถึงมันจะขึ้นdtac แต่ก็แจ้งว่า invalidsim เลยอยากจะถามว่าผมต้องทำอะไรอีกหรือเปล่าครับ หรือต้อง restore กลับไป แล้วunlock ด้วย ziphone ก่อน ตอนนี้งงไปหมดแล้วครับ ขอคำแนะนำหน่อย
เท่าที่อ่านมา แสดงว่าสามารถ Jailbreak/Unlock ด้วย pwn ได้สำเร็จแต่เกิด invalid sim ใช่ป่ะครับ
ถ้าใช่ ลองเข้าไปที่ Setting –> Carrier ปกติตัว iPhone จะเลือกเป็น Automatic ให้ ลองเปลี่ยนเป็นเลือกเครือข่ายของ sim ที่เราใช้อยู่แบบ Manual ตาม list ที่แสดงในหน้านั้นดูครับ
พอดีเคยเจออาการนี้ตอนใช้ firmware 1.1.2 คิดว่าน่าจะใช้ได้กับ firmware 2.1 เหมือนกัน
